Prince William, Kate Middleton Attend Final Wedding Rehearsal

Prince William, Kate Middleton

Wednesday night Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton made a fashionable entrance at Westminster Abbey for a final wedding rehearsal. April 29 will be the actual ceremony, broadcast live by the BBC.

There was previously a rehearsal for the benefit of the military forces with a double standing in for Kate, 29. This one, however, was for the royal couple.

The 28-year-old future king was immaculately dressed in a charcoal grey suit while Kate chose an elegant black number. The two came, driven in a Range Rover, just as the sun was setting.

Prince Harry, the best man and also the groom's younger brother, arrived in a silver car with Pippa Middleton, maid of honor and Kate's sister. The group had motorcycle police officers on both sides of the cars.

According to reports from several news sources, it was their last rehearsal prior to the wedding this Friday.

A dozen officers exited from a side door of Westminster Abbey, alerting a group of bystanders that something important would be taking place. The street nearest the venue was cordoned off just as the cars were driving up.

According to tourist Cindy Rockwell from Lake Oswego, Oregon, "Everything came to a halt. Then the crowd just surged forward. There were so many people that you could hardly even move; everyone was trying to see them."

Kate and William were brought in through a side door. They spent an hour and a half in the building and rehearsed the nuptials. Afterward, Kate sped off to her luxury suite costing $8,000 per night at the Goring hotel, and groom William heading for St. James Palace, where he will be spending his final night as a bachelor in the company of his father, Prince Charles.

With 1,900 invited guests and millions more watching around the world, it's going to be a day to remember!
