London, Jun 2 (PTI) Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon has been chosen for the MTV Generation Award.The 35-year-old actress, whose career in Hollywood boomed with ”Legally Blonde”, is set to receive the award at the upcoming MTV Movie Awards, quoted Femalefirst.”(Witherspoon is) one of the most versatile and accomplished performers of her time,” said MTV President Stephen Friedman.Witherspoon, who made her first mark as a leading lady with ”The Man in The Moon” in Hollywood, got noticed with the ”Legally” series and also starred in period dramas like ”Vanity Fair” and Johnny Cash biopic ”Walk The Line”, for which she earned a Best Actress Academy Award.The ”Water For Elephants” star was married to actor Ryan Phillippe for nine years before separating from him in 2003. She has two children with Phillippe. Witherspoon is currently married to Hollywood agent Jim Toth.To be hosted by comedian Jason Sudeikis, the awards ceremony takes place at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on Sunday.
