Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker earned $30 million each between May 2010 and May 2011 topping the Forbes list of Hollywood's highest earning actresses.
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were close behind with $28 million each.
The earnings comprise pretax gross income with management, agent and attorney fees not deducted.
Jolie, 36, has not only made a name for herself in action and drama, she also directed and penned the upcoming romance film, In the Land of Blood and Honey, set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War.
Jolie featured in two big-budget 2010 actioners: Salt and The Tourist.
The Tourist with co-star Johnny Depp earned a whopping $280 million.
Parker's earning primarily came from TV reruns of of Sex and the City, which she also co-produced. The second film of the franchise was released in 2010 and raked in $290 million. Her successful line of perfumes, Lovely, Covet and NYC, earned her $18 million.
Aniston, 42, did well with her 2010 comedy films, following the flop of Management (2009) that earned just $1 million.
The Bounty Hunter with co-star Gerard Butler, The Switch with co-star Jason Bateman, and Just Go with It with Adam Sandler; all made profits. She co-produced The Switch and Just Go with It, the latter with Adam Sandler.
Witherspoon, 35, had a major flop with How Do You Know that earned less than its $120 million production cost. Her position recovered with the April release Water for Elephants with co-star Robert Pattinson. The film made at a cost of $38 million has already earned $114 million (as on June 30).
Julia Roberts and Kristen Stewart are placed five and six with earnings of $20 million each.
Queen of romance, Katherine Heigl ($19 million); Cameron Diaz ($18 million), Oscar and Golden Globes award winner Sandra Bullock ($15 million); and Meryl Streep ($10 million) round the top 10 list.
