Police in Los Angeles arrested a man suspected of stalking Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry outside the star’s home late Monday.
Halle’s got a stalker? Surely it isn’t anyone who saw her performance in Catwoman!
The intruder, who had twice been spotted on Berry’s property on both Saturday and Sunday, is believed to be an “obsessed fan.” Halle called cops twice this week after noticing the man roaming around the grounds of her Los Angeles home. Halle was in the kitchen “when she looked out the window and saw a man staring at her, holding some sort of book…” TMZ sources said this week. Law enforcement showed up to the star’s Hollywood property a short time later with “three cars and even a helicopter,’ but the intruder had already made himself scarce.”
“Still on the loose, the resilient suspect crept back into her neighborhood late Monday night. A neighbor two houses down spotted him and reported the sighting to the police,” Entertainment Tonight reports.
The would-be intruder has been identified by LAPD officials as Richard Franco, who is described as a 27-year-old Hispanic male. He’s awaiting arraignment on two felony counts of stalking.
