Teen Struck In Lamar Odom Crash Dies

The 15-year-old Queens boy struck by a sedan transporting NBA ace Lamar Odom over the weekend has died from injuries he sustained in the accident.

The Los Angeles Lakers star — who was not driving — escaped uninjured, but was noticeably upset by the accident, compounded by the fact that he was already in town to attend his cousin’s funeral. Odom, 31, had hired a car service to drive him around town. Lamar was in the backseat, on his way to a local barbershop, when the car collided with a motorcyclist, seriously injuring him. The collision propelled the motorcycle, which hit the 15-year-old pedestrian. The teen sustained major head trauma from the impact and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died Monday.

Odom’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, had accompanied Lamar to NYC, but was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

A source close to the athlete says Lamar is “devastated.”

“Thank you for your support and prayers! My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family,” Odom Tweeted on Monday.

Kardashian, 27, added her condolences on her own Twitter page: “My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4 all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong. Above all, love each other deeply, b/c love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality 2 1another without grumbling 1 Peter 4:8-9 Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Our love will give us strength! Love conquers ALL!”
