Double Dhamaal Gives Mumbai A Casino Teaser

An important part of Inder Kumar's 'Double Dhamaal' headlining Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Kangana Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat was filmed using a casino set modeled on some of the best casinos in the world, built in Mumbai at a whopping cost of Rs1.5 crore.

The film required a Casino's backdrop for parts of its climax and Mallika sherawat's much anticipated item song Jalebi bai, which is scored by Anand Raj Anand and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

The director and co-producer Indra Kumar didn't just build a huge, lavish set in Mehboob Studios, Bandra, he looked into every minute detail to make sure it appeared opulent and life-like.

Kumar had to go for this extravaganza as no casinos would allow him to shoot inside for the entire day.

The casino set is not the only novelty in the film; an item girl entertaining gamblers is also unheard of!

The set was designed by art director Tanushree Sarkar and it took two weeks to build.

Insiders from the set reveal that the set looked very authentic complete with real roulette and poker tables along with slot machines!

Major parts of the film were shot in Hongkong, Macau and Mauritius.

The film is due in theaters on June 24.

Raginni MMS Retro Sexual Threesome

Raginni MMS
Ekta Kapoor's much anticipated production Raginni MMS features the ultimate seduction tune of yesteryear – an SD Burman composition from the 1967 blockbuster Jewel Thief.

The number, Raat Akeli Hai, sung by Asha Bhosle, which featured Dev Anand and Tanuja on screen, has been used in Raginni MMS.

Kapoor has deferred to the sensibilities of the artists of the song, film buffs and music lovers by not remixing the original.

Says a source, "Some recent remixes of old tunes haven't worked and a call was made to not remix a track like this."

Kapoor confirmed saying, "Some classic tunes should just not be touched. They should be enjoyed in their purest authentic form. Raat Akeli Hai is sexy enough in its original form and goes very well with the mood of Ragini MMS."

While the original track was set in an ornate room and showed Tanuja in a white grown seducing Dev Anand, it remains to be seen how the track has been used in the "threesome" scenario, hyped in the film's tag line.

The sensuous paranormal film is due in theaters on May 13.

Raginni MMS is based on the real life story of a young couple on a romantic getaway who shot a steamy video of themselves. They ended up with more than what they had bargained for - the footage showed a third paranormal presence in the room. When Ekta Kapoor was approached with the video she knew immediately that she had a perfect film on hand.

Bollywood Hindi Movie Game Review

Bollywood Hindi Movie Game Review
Bollywood Hindi Movie Game is releasing this Friday on April 1, 2011. The film Game is based on action/Drama/Thriller. This film is releasing by EROS international Media PVT limited and Excel Entertainment. Bollywood film Game was earlier title as crooked but Emran Hashmi crooked have already been released. This film is shouted at India as well out side of India at (United Kingdom, Thailand, Turkey). This film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, this film is directed by Abhinay Deo, starring Abhishek Bachchan as Neil Menon, Kangna Ranaut as Sia Agnihotri, Sarah Jane Dias as Maya, Jimmy Sheirgill as Vikram Kapoor, Gauhar Khan as Samara Shroff, Shahana Goswami as Tisha Khanna, Boman Irani as OP Ramsay, Anupam Kher as Kabir Malhotra. Abhishek looking handsome in whole film and Kangana is looking so sexy and stylish.

The film pretends to be an intelligent murder mystery but if you are a keen watcher, then there are several laughable loopholes in the supposed ’mystery’. Billionaire Kabir Malhotra (Anupam Kher) is bumped off. His Will is being burnt in a dustbin adjacent to his dead body. The fire is caused by a fire cracker and the smart-shades cop (Kangana Ranaut) is unable to notice it during her investigation. One has to wait for the genius nose of Neil Menon (Abhishek Bachchan) to discover this garish ’fact’ right

But Smoky silences, carefully orchestrated background music fishing for dramebaazi and a whirlwind trip through glitzy cities of the world doesn’t compensate for lack of thrills in a murder mystery.
Kartik Vijay’s camerawork is fantastic. Also, the virgin island in Greece looks deliriously gorgeous. But the look of the film in general is a mixed bag. It tends to be mostly greyish and dark giving a morose feeling for most parts. And it is definitely not a good news for a ’thriller’.

Newbie Sarah Jane Dias (Maya in the film) has a couple of songs, a handful of dialogues and she is made to rest in peace. Her romantic track with Abhishek deviates from where the film should have been headed. In fact, Junior Bachchan’s character undergoes too many transformations. A Casino owner who can kill at ease, sneak into buildings and con people (a la Hrithik in Dhoom 2), has access to the OB van of a news channel (in a country he’s not familiar with) and go live with heart-attack worthy Breaking News. Obviously, his real identity is revealed later but one is unable to clearly understand his motives for killing. Line of duty or avenging the death of his beloved?

Moreover, Abhishek tries to put up this cool dude act laced with a crooked smile and smartass sense of humour. But his double chin, unkempt persona lets down the character he is meant to play. Somehow, he doesn’t look the part. Hrithik Roshan or maybe Saif Ali Khan could have taken this character to a higher, cooler level. Kangana looks super with those shades but her accent is a downer. She tries too hard to look-n-sound intelligent but the manner in which her firang boss (caricaturish casting) treats her like a school girl makes it unintentionally funny. Anupam Kher is reliably good and Gauhar Khan is getting better with each outing.

Director Abhinay Deo is a slick craftsman. He has a strong command over the technical sheen of his film. As a product, Game looks very polished. Great locales and dishy editing chops. But, Deo falters in his execution. The basic plot is interesting and one does get surprised at several junctures. But the over all impact is half baked. To put it more clearly, the thrills are not thrilling enough. The dialogues have been credited to Farhan Akhtar and they are surprisingly ordinary. Some of the lines (specially Kangna’s) are cheesy and unintentionally funny. Music by Shankar Ehsan Loy is passable but no lasting numbers there. Background music by Ram Sampat nicely weaves the Middle Eastern feel in the Turkey scenes but on the whole, there’s nothing exceptional about it.

Katrina Kaif Boom Movie to Return with a Kiss

Her steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in the DVD of her debut film that was deleted, will now appear in the new one

Katrina Kaif’s first screen kiss with her co-star Gulshan Grover in her debut film Boom, which was deleted, will be re-released in the film’s upcoming DVD. Interestingly, Kat’s smooch with Gulshan was expunged from the film’s initial DVD, because Katrina’s then beau, Salman Khan had compelled to do away with the kissing portion. But now that he’s out of her life, the producers are all set to bring back Kat’s passionate lip-lock that is certainly going to stun on and all.

The question that begs to be asked is why the makers want to release a fresh DVD when it’s not exactly a hot selling item. Says an industry source, ‘It is clear that the makers of Boom want to cash in on Katrina’s success. She is a top actress now and naturally there will be curiosity about a steamy scene she did, when she was a newcomer.” It’s just another way to make a quick buck at her expense.

Meanwhile, the actress is clueless about this new development. However, a source from the production says, “They don’t need to inform her or get her permission for the same. She had signed a contract knowing fully well what she was doing and had got paid for it.”

The story revolves around 6 persons caught up in the mud of crime.Bipasha too has a past.Zoe (Bipasha Basu) An aspiring airhostess who saw her dreams turn to dust, Zoey in a way represents Goa itself. Yamla Pagla Deewana Movie Reviews

The Deols are back. And this time they are going to make you cry literally, not with the emotional tearjerker like ‘Apne’, but with their latest laugh riot – ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’. The film will definitely make you laugh till your wits end, but only in parts.

Had ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ been more fun than what was just seen in the promos, the flick would have clinched the best comedy award of 2011. But, alas, it’s again a case of lost opportunity.

But who said Bollywood films are made just for the sake of awards? While the Deol Inc’s last outing ‘Apne’, couldn’t fetch a place in the awards list last time, it did manage to win hearts of millions with its family drama and father- son saga – an absolute ‘paisa vaisool’.

Likewise, with YPD, the three ‘Jats’ would tug to your heartstrings in a style of their own.

Though, what lacks in YPD is a story line more convincing to be woven around a comic plot. It leaves you confused. It’s an effort to sit through the film till interval, as gradually it builds only to end on an expected note.

Sunny Deol comes to India from Canada to look for his father, Dharmendra and his brother, Bobby Deol, who were separated from him during childhood.

He finds them earning their livelihood as petty thugs in Banaras. But before he can take them back with him he must resolve his kid brother`s complicated love story by tackling the girl`s (Kulraj Randhawa) tough brothers (Anupam Kher) and the rest. This means a trip to turbulent and throbbing Punjab!

Mayhem follows. So do a string of sardar jokes you may have shared in school, at work, via sms etc. But watching the Deols, an unlikely set of actors for a plot like this, perform them is what makes them mildly enjoyable.

This is must watch for all Deol die hard fans!
