Emma Stone Lost “Heroes” Role To Hayden Panettiere

Easy A actress Emma Stone, 22, has been making her mark in Hollywood, and now she is making a splash on the cover of the August edition of Vanity Fair Magazine.

Modeling an assortment of swimsuits, the blonde beauty is seen frolicking in the sun with photographer Patrick Demarchelier in St. Barth’s during her summer shoot. In the accompanying cover story, Emma confirmed she dropped out of school as a teen, and took online high school courses as she pursued her dream of acting. She also revealed that losing the role of the cheerleader in the now-defunct NBC sci-fi Heroes to pint-sized starlet Hayden Panettiere was a devastating blow.

“I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick…On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11,’” Emma told the mag. “I went home and just had this meltdown…”

Things are certainly looking up for Emma on the career front these days. The actress is co-starring with her new beau Andrew Garfield in next summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man. She’ll also be seen in Friends with Benefits, co-starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, later this summer.
