Kate Middleton See-Through Dress Up For Auction

A see-through dress that some Royal Watchers believe played a key role in bringing Kate Middleton to the attention of an admiring Prince William when the pair when college classmates will be auctioned off in London this March.

The fresh-faced future princess wore the transparent gown over black lingerie at a 2002 charity fashion show at the University of St. Andrews. The knitted lace dress was designed by Charlotte Todd, who tapped Middleton to model it at the event nearly nine years ago. Strutting her stuff at the $325-a-ticket charity show, Kate looked hot – Well, as hot as you can look in a crappy-looking slip with your knickers showing through!

It is believed that Kate was still dating fellow student Rupert Finch at the time, while William was rumoured to be romancing close friend Jecca Craig. As the story goes, it didn’t take long for William’s eyes to come out on stalks like an old-school edition of a Looney Tunes cartoon.

The pair became an item in 2004.

The piece of royal history is expected to sell for more than $12,000 when it goes under the hammer next month.

Elin Nordegren “Dancing With The Stars

There’ll be an unlikely hoofer joining the fold when the cast of the 12th season of Dancing With The Stars is announced during Monday’s season finale of The Bachelor.

Word on the Curb has it that Dancing With The Stars producers have approached Elin Nordegren, the former bride of philandering sportsman Tiger Woods, about appearing on the upcoming cycle of the show. The 31-year-old mother-of-two has been keeping a low profile since divorcing the cheating golfer last year, but is considering a gig on the popular ABC talent show, The National Enquirer revealed in its March 7 edition.

“Elin has turned down several reality TV offers, but she thinks Dancing would be a lot of fun, and she especially loves the contestants’ snazzy outfits,” a squealing spy close to Nordegren told the tabloid. “…Elin works out at home all the time, and she’s in great shape.”

Screen legend Faye Dunaway, failed politican Christine O’Donnell, and wrestler Chris Jericho are among the celebs who are also reportedly up for the new DWTS cast. The Swedish-born blonde, on the other hand, is hoping to parlay her first TV gig into a successful career abroad, according to The Enquirer.

“…Elin thinks if she does well here, she might get invited to be on the popular Swedish version of the show, Let’s Dance. Elin wants to make her own mark in the world, and she thinks Dancing might be the perfect place to start doing just that.”

Aishwarya Rai sparkles at Oscar, shimmer rules red carpet

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai added some Indian glamour to the Oscars with an on-trend shimmery number at the 83rd Academy Awards where sequins dominated the red carpet.

The 37-year-old actress sparkled in a bronze Giorgio Armani Prive gown with rows of amber sequins and beaded detail at the waist, while husband Abhishek Bachchan stuck to a traditional black tuxedo.

The actress teamed the shimmery gown with a Jimmy Choo clutch, vintage jewellery and smoky eyes.

Like Abhishek, musician A R Rahman who walked the red carpet with wife Saira, too wore a tuxedo while his partner chose a flamboyant fusion ensemble consisting of a golden sherwani and cigarette pants.

Like Saira and Ash, the shimmer trend was followed by Gwnyeth Paltrow, who wore a gold Calvin Klein number and Halle Berry who stole the show in a nude sparkling number by Marchesa.

Hilary Swank`s glistening silver Gucci column gave way to a romantic ostrich feather skirt, while the sparkling bodice of Mandy Moore`s romantic Monique L`Hullier dress appeared to have been sprayed on.

Shimmering nude was also an age-appropriate choice for 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, nominated for her role in `True Grit`, who won a Fifties-style dress by Marchesa.

While Celine Dion, wore a full-sleeved silver column dress, Amy Adams added a pop of colour to the red carpet with a sequinned navy gown by L`Wren Scott, which she teamed with green accesories.

Other than the sparkle, another major trend was the resurgence of the red carpet favourite, voluminous red gowns.

The bustled creations worn by Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, and Sandra Bullock, were in the same traffic-stopping hue of red. Penelope Cruz too showed off her post-pregnancy bod with a sequinned red gown by L`Wren Scott.

And while black remained a popular choice, with famously eccentric British star Helena Bonham Carter opting for it, there were some surprises from Cate Blanchett who wore an lavender Givenchy Haute Couture gown with yellow embellishment, and an unusual purple-burgundy hue seen on both Natalie Portman, in Rodarte, and Scarlett Johansson in Dolce and Gabbana.

Firth Portman win lead-acting prizes at Oscars

Colin Firth is official Hollywood royalty: He has won the best-actor Academy Award as stammering monarch George VI in ‘The King’s Speech,’ while Natalie Portman is the best-actress winner as a delusional ballerina in ‘Black Swan’.

‘The King’s Speech,’ which led with 12 nominations, also won two other Oscars on Sunday, best director for Tom Hooper and original screenplay for David Seidler, a boyhood stutterer who was inspired by the British ruler’s struggle to overcome his own stammer.

Christian Bale and Melissa Leo earned supporting-acting honors Sunday for the boxing tale ‘The Fighter’.

Portman won over a field that included Annette Bening, who has lost on all four of her Oscar nominations.

2011 Razzie Award Winners

It’s Oscars Sunday out in Hollywood, so you already know what that means: The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation announced the Dis-Honor Roll for last year’s Worst in Film at a ceremony at Hollywood’s Barnsdall Gallery Theatre this weekend!

Pregnant starlet Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher, and the ladies of Sex and the City 2 were among the night’s big winners — Er…perhaps we should say losers!? — at Saturday’s ceremony. But the night’s biggest Razzies went to The Last Airbender.

M. Night Shyamalan’s fantasy action film was declared the “winner” of five Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3D. (Tough break…) The movie earned nearly $320 million at the international box office when it opened last summer, but was almost universally panned by film critics. The Worst Supporting Actor trophy went to the action film’s co-star Jackson Rathbone.

Ashton Kutcher scored the Worst Actor title after turning in chuckleworthy performances in Killers and Valentine’s Day, while Jessica Alba nabbed the Worst Supporting Actress Razzie for her work in The Killer Inside Me, Little Fockers, Machete, and Valentine’s Day. The four principle stars of Sex and the City 2 — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis — were collectively named Worst Actress at this year’s Razzies. The film also won the plastic prizes for Worst Screen Couple/Worst Screen Ensemble, and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel.

The winners were determined by ballots lodged by 657 voters in the United States and 17 foreign countries.

Vanessa Hudgens Scores New Man

Vanessa Hudgens has been seen getting cozy with her 'Journey 2: Mysterious Island' co-star Josh Hutcherson, suggesting that like her former boyfriend Zac Efron, she too may have moved on.

Vanessa , 22, was spotted with Josh, 18, at an after-party for her new release, Beastly, last week in LA, and she looked "smitten."

A source tells People magazine, "Their arms were wrapped around each other and they were really touchy together.

"They were very cute."

The two made a second public appearance together at the Independent Spirit Awards on February 26, where Josh's film, The Kids Are All Right, won for best screenplay.

"Josh walked Vanessa to the bathroom and then guided her to their seats with a hand on the small of her back," an onlooker told People.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens split in early December, after having dated since 2006.

Efron and Hudgens were seen together last month in what was reported to be an attempted reconciliation.

Efron, 23, was seen on a night out in LA with Australian actress Teresa Palmer, 24, on February 3.

The couple watched Teresa's new film Take Me Home Tonight and followed it up with dinner at the Pink Taco.

Earlier this month, Vanessa had a butterfly inked on her neck in New York, her first tattoo.

Life goes on.

Drew Barrymore Has a New Boyfriend

Stakes are high that we are witnessing Drew Barrymore’s new romance right from the start.

The Gray Gardens star spent a good deal of last week in L.A. with art consultant Will Kopelman. First they were spotted on Monday at celebrity-haunted Joan’s on Third enjoying lunch together. Wednesday it was Beverly Hills’ E. Baldi Italian restaurant, which they left arm in arm.

Is it that they are growing fonder of being together after their previous pleasant evening at the Music Box in mid-February?

33-year-old Will Kopelman is the son of Arie Kopelman, former Chanel CEO, and a Boston University alumnus. He was known to date actresses before, having had a romantic liaison with The Event’s Sarah Roemer.

Barrymore, 36, may have gotten tired of maintaining off-and-on relationship with her boyfriend Justin Long, although in October, when talking to Harper’s Bazaar, she gushed about him, expressing intense feelings of love, respect and admiration for him.

Another habit she may be breaking is her independence – it’s not that Barrymore is afraid of being alone. During the past decade, she confessed, she sometimes had to argue herself into going out to meet up with her friends after having dinner alone for a few nights in succession.

Barrymore’s rep isn’t ready to venture a statement yet.

Aamir Khan Facial Foliage Fierce at Hrithik Roshan's Bash

Aamir Khan appeared almost incognito in his new makeover at Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussane's new interior store, 'The Charcoal Project,' launch in Andheri, Mumbai on Sunday, February 27.

Aamir's over the top, thick black moustache made him look fierce, quite the cop that he plays in his under-production film - a suspense drama directed by Reema Kagti. Besides playing the protagonist, Aamir is also the producer of the film.

Aamir arrived at the event solo and was warmly received by Hrithik and Sussane. The trio then posed for photogs.

Aamir, 45, was dressed in grey tee and beige pants.

The Fanaa star recently returned from the Berlin Film Festival after jury duty.

He is currently attending workshops for his role in the Reema Kagti film, production for which starts in March.

The film additionally stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji.

Colin Firth celebrates Oscar win with kisses

British star Colin Firth celebrated his Oscar win with a string of kisses — before threatening to dance on stage. The King’s Speech actor was named best actor at the 83rd Academy Awards — and promptly kissed wife Livia. Then he kissed co-star — and his wife in the movie — Helena Bonham Carter. And the kissing didn’t stop there — for when he reached the stage he also kissed presenter Sandra Bullock. Then as he began his Oscar speech, he revealed he was “experiencing stirrings” and threatened that they may turn into dance moves on the stage. But he managed to get through his two-minute speech without breaking out any moves before finishing off with: “Now if you will all excuse me I have some impulses I have to tend to backstage!” Firth looked stunned as his name was read out by Bullock for best actor. He stood for a moment on the stage looking down at his award before making his own speech. He then said: “I have a feeling my career has just peaked. My deepest thanks to academy. I am afraid I have to warn you that I am experiencing stirrings, some in the upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves which joyous as they may be for me, would be extremely problematic if they make it to my legs before I get off stage, so I’m going to my best to be brief with my gratitude for being on this extraordinary list of fellow nominees. They are something quite formidable and possibly the greatest honour of this. All the crew and my fellow cast members. All those that are not here and those who are, Geoffrey and Helena and Guy, who virtuosity made it very difficult to be as bad as I was planning to be and David Seidler, whose owns struggles have given so many people the benefit of his beautiful voice. And Tom Hooper whose immense courage and clear-sightedness with which he interpreted that. The men who finessed this to the screen Gareth, Emile, Xavier and of course Harvey who first took me on 20 years ago when I was a mere child sensation. All the people who have been rooting for me back home. And my very fortunate friendship with Tom Ford, who I owe a very piece of this. And to the Anglo-Italian-American-Canadian access which makes up my family. And Livia for putting up with my fleeting delusions of royalty, who I hold responsible for this and for everything that’s really good and happened since I met her. Now if you will all excuse me I have some impulses I have to tend to back stage. Thank you very much.”

Katy Perry Petrified Russell Brand Will Cheat While She’s On Tour

Trouble in Paradise already for newlyweds Russell Brand and Katy Perry?

The “Firework” lass is up to her armpits in blue wigs and fake cupcakes now that her “California Dream World Tour” is in full effect and she’s beside herself with fears that her ex-womanizing hubby is going to play up while she’s away, Star Magazine snoops spill in the March 7 issues.

Word on the Curb has it that the pair have been less than harmonious lately, with “informants types” reporting regular shouting matches between the pair, who wed in the company of lions and tigers (hold the bears…) in India last October. As the story goes, Katy’s already enlisting the guidance of a marriage counselor to help keep her relationship with the former sex and drug addict stable.

“He shouted at her on the phone when he was on the Saturday Night Live set. Russell has been wondering if he can be with one woman for the rest of his life,” whispers an informant.

“Russell and Katy will schedule visits while she’s on tour. And she plans to take most of September off, but its going to be incredibly tough,” says the source. “She’s especially afraid he’ll fall back into his bad old habits. But she believes that if they make it through her tour, they’ll last through anything.”

Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Go Public with Their Romance

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber walked the red carpet with their arms wrapped around each other at the 2011 Vanity Fair party in LA on February 27.

The couple readily posed for photogs outside the Sunset Tower Hotel, serenely looking into each other's eyes amidst the flash frenzy.

.

Selena looked defiant in a red Grecian-inspired gown with Brian Atwood heels, Judith Leiber bag and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Bieber looked dapper in a black Dolce & Gabbana suit.

Gomez, 18, and Bieber, 16, have been seen hanging out with each since February 2010.

Rumors that they were dating started to gain traction in December 2010, when they had breakfast together at an IHOP restaurant in Philadelphia. But Gomeze alluded to her relationship with Bieber being protective. She told MTV News that she felt like a big sister to the Canadian singer.

At the start of the New Year, a bikini clad Selena Gomez was photographed kissing Bieber in St. Lucia in the Caribbean, a clear indication that there was more to their relationship than the two were ready to acknowledge.

Mallika Sherawat at the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet

Mallika Sherawat at the Oscars. Not a bad look for Mallika at all, although I hate the black pumps. The dress is nice though.

Mallika Sherawat sparkled at the 2011 Oscars this evening in this dazzling gown. The Indian actress arrived at the show and walked the red carpet in the stunning ensemble and we definitely think she turned heads at the Kodak Theatre with all of that shimmer!Mallika Sherawat is wearing a slim fitting silver sequined dress.

We hope Mallika has a great time at the show and enjoys the show! She’ll be in the audience for the event, checking out the big winners. This isn’t Mallika’s first Oscars, so she’s definitely a pro on the red carpet and knows how to relax and enjoy the show.
