Britney Spears' New Album to Release March 15


Britney Spears seventh studio album, as yet untitled, will release on March 15, 2011, according to a leaked document from her label - Jive Record. [via Reuters UK]

A major TV event, worldwide online contests and a "LGBT/lifestyle campaign" will herald the launch of the album, says the document.

Jive confirmed to MTV News that the leaked document with details about the album's marketing campaign is authentic.

Britney premiered the album's lead track - Hold It Against Me – on Ryan Seacrest's Morning Show on KIIS FM on January 10, hours before its scheduled release on January 11.

The track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.

Besides Dr. Luke and Max Martin, who collaborated with Britney on 'Hold It Agains Me' other album collaborator include Rodney Jerkins, R&B singer Avant, Stargate, Fraser T. Smith and Bloodshy , according to the document.

Britney is currently recording the video of 'Hold It Against Me.' The leaked document refers to the video as "a sexy, edgy dance piece directed by Jonas Akerlund and showing Britney at peak form and ability."

Britney has promised to post photos from the video online in the near future.

A second single from the album, titled 'I I I Wanna Go,' is also ready for release.
