Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur Perfume Inspired By Childhood Memories

biding by the age old celebrity trend, Rihanna also launched her very own signature perfume, in collaboration with Parlux Fragrances Inc. Her fragrance entitled as Reb’l Fleur, will hit the store from January 25, and would be sold at the rate of $49. Sources say that the nomenclature of this fragrance, is inspired from her childhood nickname, Rebel Flower, by which, her grandmom used to address her.

The dusky singer said in a press conference that for several years, she has used many different perfumes and this time, she wanted something of her own. She wanted the fragrance to be “delicious” and “special”, marked with a subtlety, that would trail in people’s mind for a long time and leave a mark. Rihanna said that this perfume symbolizes her passion for individuality, that may be precisely summed up as impressive and empowering. Her perfume is a blend of rare flowers like Hawaiian hibiscus along with vanilla, tropical fruits, patchouli and amber. The entire fragrance has a very tropical feel, and redefines the singer place of origin, Barbados. The perfume is apparently very close to her heart, as created the perfume with her own efforts, starting from creating the flavor, till designing the bottle.

However, sources say that if the fragrance of her perfume was inspired from her childhood memories, and her upbringing in the tropical region, the bottle on the other hand depicts her current lifestyle, as it is shaped like an inverted stiletto heel. The first ad of the perfume is equally sensuous, as the singer wears a front open satin outfit, colors her hair red, highlights her eyes with dark Kohl, and apparently kisses a white rose. The violet back drop makes it all more appealing.
